Sure, we’re Mustang fanatics first and foremost around here at Mustang-360.com, but we’re also fans of all of Ford’s performance vehicles. From the new Focus RS to the hot new Ford GT supercar, we’d love to have one of each in our dream garage. One of the most anticipated Ford performance vehicles to return to the showroom for 2017 is the new Ford F-150 Raptor pickup. Featuring a 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6, stiffer frame, all new styling, and even better suspension than its predecessor, Ford truck enthusiasts are lining up to order one. Whether they plan to tackle the desert, use it as a tow rig, or simply be the baddest truck in their work parking lot, who cares. We’re just thrilled Ford is bringing the Raptor back.

The radio controlled car and truck peeps at Traxxas must certainly feel the same way, as they’ve crafted up a trick version of their famous Slash short-course R/C truck with the new 2017 Raptor body on it. Officially licensed by Ford, this new electric R/C truck features a true to scale F-150 Raptor body with Raptor graphics pre-applied and available in one of three official Ford colors (Lighting Blue, Oxford White, and Magnetic), with BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A tires, oil filled coilover shocks, geared differential, and sealed waterproof electronics for fun out on the trails in any condition or weather!

The new 2017 F-150 Raptor body is a real piece of work, with molded grille insert, realistic side mirrors, and more. We’re going to speculate that for scale fitment Traxxas went with the super cab version, but the real Raptor is also available in SuperCrew four-door configuration.
Under that beautiful polycarbonate scale body is Traxxas’ tried and true Slash short-course chassis. With a 13-inch wheelbase and over 3½-inches of ground clearance, the 1/10th scale chassis is molded in black and features sealed waterproof electronics, adjustable coilover shocks, and easy battery fitment.

If you’re considering buying a 2017 F-150 Raptor how cool would it be to have a “mini me” for your kids to play with (or the kid in you)? Or if you’re like us and only dream of owning one of Ford’s hot new Raptor trucks you could pick one of these Traxxas Raptors up to help ease the pain of not owning the full size version! That’s our plan anyway, to have one of these bad boys under our Christmas tree this year—make it Lighting Blue please!

The adjustable battery hold down on the Slash allows for all manner of battery packs to be used, including 6- and 7-cell stick packs, 7-cell hump packs, and Lithium Polymer (LiPo) packs as well, offering more power and longer run times.
The new Traxxas 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is available in three official Ford colors, Magnetic, Lightning Blue, and Oxford White. Like most R/C models from Traxxas, a slew of option parts, replacement bodies, wheels, tires, and more are available for customization, vehicle repairs, and more online or through your local hobby store.
