Ford’s Twitter Response to the Presidential Debate
A few days ago we reported that during the first presidential debate, Ford’s Wayne, Michigan plant manager Bill Johnson outed the coming production of a new Bronco and Ranger pickup. That generated a lot of noise about the long-awaited trucks coming from Ford, but we thought you might like to see the actual tweets.
Johnson’s tweets were in response to Republican nominee Donald Trump’s statement that Ford is moving small-car production (and the resulting jobs) to Mexico, saying that “Ford is not moving jobs out of Michigan,” and that only the small car production is moving to factories in Mexico to make room for “two new products” which were later revealed to be the as-yet-unseen (other than external concept drawings) Bronco SUV and Ranger pickup.
