1966 Ford Fairlane 2016 ARP/STREET RODDER Road Tour Car Stolen in Bakersfield, CA
Stolen 2016 ARP/STREET RODDER Road Tour Car!
Stolen car alert! STREET RODDER magazine's white 1966 Ford Fairlane Road Tour car was stolen last night, Wednesday, October 12, in Bakersfield, California, from the parking lot of the Four Points Sheraton located at 5101 California Avenue. Set on 7-acre grounds, this upscale hotel is 2.1 miles from Stockdale Country Club and 3.5 miles from the Fox Theater in downtown Bakersfield. If you spot the car or have a lead on who stole the one-off full custom 1966 Ford Fairlane call the Bakersfield Police at (661) 327-7111.
STREET RODDER editor Brian Brennan stated, "Bakersfield police have jumped on this with both feet as the last thing they needed was a high-profile car stolen from an upscale hotel the weekend before a large car show event is about to take place. Jerry Dixey our Road Tour chauffeur had the car parked at the hotel in Bakersfield last night when it was stolen."
It wasn’t a random crime the thieves laid in wait to steal it. Easy to identify it will not be hard to ID parts stripped from the 1966 Fairlane as every part was custom fabricated, or special ordered, including the Roadster Shop chassis, not to mention most of the hardware holding the 1966 Fairlane together are ARP bolts.
