There’s no denying that Southern California is a car-lover’s dream destination. From exotics to daily driven classics, wagons, and more, it is considered mecca by car enthusiasts the world over. So what better place to hold a car show than at one of the automotive aftermarket’s most historic manufacturers of go-fast and look-good parts for all these cars? That’s right; the folks at Edelbrock are once again opening their doors for its 11th Annual Car Show, which will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Torrance, California.

As you can imagine in car-happy Southern California, a large contingent of Mustangs from every generation can be viewed at the Edelbrock Car Show each year.

The Friday before the show, Edelbrock will also once again open the doors to its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility to the public for free shop tours. Participants can take a guided tour of Edelbrock’s Research & Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Control departments. This is a unique and rare opportunity for automotive enthusiasts to see what it takes to design and manufacture Edelbrock’s performance products. The shop tours begin at 10 a.m. and will end at 2 p.m. Interested parties can register online at www.edelbrockcarshow.com.

During the Saturday show, Edelbrock expects more than 400 cars to fill the streets around Vic’s Garage (it’s museum, also at the HQ) for the 11th annual show. Automotive enthusiasts are invited to come out and enjoy a day of hot-rods, great food, and live entertainment. The show will also host the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, in which teams of high-school students from all over Southern California race to tear down and rebuild an engine in a timed and judged competition. Additionally, the ever-popular Kids’ Corner will return with tons of activities for children of all ages. Several aftermarket manufacturers will be onsite as well to exhibit their products. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spectator entry is free!

Of course, it’s not all Mustangs. You can see plenty of cool Fords and Ford-powered cars, too, like this drop-dead beautiful 1932 Ford and 1965 Shelby Cobra replica.

All makes and models of vehicles are welcome to register online at www.edelbrockcarshow.com. Standard registration is available until April 15 at $35 per vehicle. Day of show registration is $40 per vehicle. A limited number of VIP spaces are available for a $100 per vehicle. Special arrangements can be made to accommodate small and large car clubs that would like to display together.

The host car club for the event is the SouthBay Mustang Owners. The SouthBay Mustang Owners (SBMO) is a non-profit organization that promotes the enjoyment of the Ford automobile, specifically the Mustang, and provides a means to recreate and interact with others of similar interests. SBMO is one of Southern California’s largest Mustang Clubs with more than 100 members! For more details about SBMO see the club’s website at www.southbaymustangowners.org.

Check out one of our favorites from last year. We can’t wait to see what rolls into the lot this year!
The host club, SouthBay Mustang Owners, will have their hands full this year with more than 400 cars, vendors, food trucks, and more, to park and organize. It takes a strong club to help put on big events like this!
