And yet while Ford is at the frontline of expending energy exploring how Gen Z trends might shape the future, we spotted an interesting anomaly right in our own backyard.

It’s a blast to the past, head south beyond the city of Santa Ana’s Dyer Road on California SR 55, and there’s a low-tech billboard that appeals to one’s inner hooligan. A brand new Mustang emerging from a fog of burning rubber, clearly not an advertising campaign one would find legal in the country where the expression hooligan got its roots.

You won’t find a Ford smoky burnout billboard in England or Australia, who knows how many variations on this potentially controversial theme have been displayed in America. The first time we noticed, the subject vehicle was a blue Mustang and the current billboard star is now yellow in color.

We’re not even sure if this isn’t the only Ford billboard of its nature in existence. Has anyone reading this spotted an example in their, neighborhood? If so please post a photo to Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords’ Facebook page.
