Right now in Las Vegas is the annual SEMA Show, and one of its prestigious awards is the SEMA Award, given to the vehicles SEMA thinks are so piping hot that the aftermarket is going to go nuts creating parts for them and therefore they should be deemed hottest in the land. Therefore, the 2015 SEMA Award for Hottest Car is the new Mustang, while the Ford Focus was named Hottest Sport-Compact. On the Hottest Truck side, Ford again: The F-series. Oh, yeah, someone else won, too: Jeep, with the Wrangler getting Hottest 4x4/SUV, non-Ford category, we assume.

The SEMA Show is also where almost all the new aftermarket products are revealed, and it lasts a week because you need about that much time to see every new part, component, trinket, and Elvis impersonator. SEMA awards Best New Product winners each year, and the most interesting to you will probably be the Best New Performance Racing Product win going to C & R Performance for the Drag Race Barrel Intercooler, suited for drag racing and dyno pulls as a “new air” to “ice barrel” situation that utilizes a straight-through tube. It can run ice or dry ice. The other finalists in that category were Aeromotive’s Terminator fuel pump and the Hot Water Nitrous Bottle Bath from Nitrous Express.
