Ford Motor Company’s total U.S. sales increased by 5 percent during August 2015, the best August performance in nine years. The simple fact of the matter is that Ford is nailing it across the board on multiple platforms and in August 2015, the Blue Oval raised the bar by selling a whopping 234,237 total vehicles. From cars, trucks and SUV’s, the sales numbers seem to be growing at a steady pace. Naturally, one of the biggest sellers this year has been the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang.

Ford Mustang sales are up 70 percent compared to last year’s August sales of the iconic pony car. With a sales figure of 9,997 pony cars sold, marking its best August performance since 2007 – the all-new global Ford Mustang seems to be a favorite amongst passionate enthusiasts. With power offerings like the 310hp 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 32 mpg or the awesome 435hp 5.0L Coyote V8 that still delivers a fairly impressive 25 mpg on the highway, it’s easy to see why the Mustang fan-base is growing.

Even the least powerful engine manages to pump out a solid 300hp and with the new Shelby GT350 and GT350R pushing the limits of performance with the new 526hp 5.2L flat-plane Crank V8 that features a redline of 8,250 rpm, the popularity of the Mustang will likely not slow down anytime soon. Not a bad way to finish out the 2015 model year.
