As the Carlisle Ford Nationals draws near we recently received word that the documentary film, Demon on Wheels, the story of Mike Ondish and his 1968 Mustang, will debut during the downtown cruise-in on Saturday, June 6 at the Carlisle Theater in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. and guests of the Carlisle Ford Nationals are invited downtown for the premiere.

Mike Ondish, in his younger days, tore up the streets of his hometown in his 1968 Mustang fastback. The Mustang, having sat, unused in a garage for more than three decades, is something Mike sets out to restore as a tribute to his hero, the late Carroll Shelby. During the course of the documentary and the resurrection of Mike’s fastback he gets to meet his hero and watch his dream of once again driving his fastback become a reality.

The film highlights the ups and downs of such a project. Finding the right parts to put the Mustang back together more than 40 years after it was built. Getting the fastback out of storage and building it back up to a street ready and track worthy vehicle takes its toll on Ondish, but you can also see and share in his excitement when he lays his eyes on the completed project for the first time and what the journey meant to him. Besides Carroll Shelby, the film features an appearance by John Clor, Ford Motor Company’s Director of Enthusiast Communications, and of course Ondish himself.

“We’re thrilled to be making our world premiere at the best Ford show in the country,” says Demon on Wheels director Christina Eliopoulos. “Carlisle is the site of the largest gathering of Ford enthusiasts and Ford vehicles we’ve ever seen, and we can’t think of a better place to share Mike Ondish’s quest to rebuild his classic Mustang than among the thousands of Ford and Mustang owners in Carlisle for the big show!”

Demon on Wheels is a production of Watershed Films, and is being released in theaters in the United States starting in August 2015. The world premiere on June 6 in Carlisle is presented by Watershed Films, Carlisle Events, and the Carlisle Theatre. For more information on the film please visit www.demononwheels.com.
