Contributers: Mustang Six Association (M6A)

A little over a year ago an online association was begun, dedicated exclusively to 6-cylinder Mustangs of all years, both inlines and V-6s. As word of the Mustang Six Association (M6A) has spread among the Mustang community, the club’s membership rolls have grown to over 400, along with almost 400 6-cylinder Mustang lovers who have joined their Facebook page. And just recently, the club launched its website where all the editions of their newsletter are archived as well as individual stories and where one can keep up to date with all the events happening with the Mustang Six Association.

There are no costs or dues to be a member of M6A; all they ask members to do is send in stories and pictures of their Mustangs, or on article on anything related to six cylinder Mustangs for publication in their online newsletter “THE SIX BANGER.” Mustang Monthly and Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords are both sent the newsletter, and that has resulted in some of the club members having their Mustangs featured in the magazines.

Some of the benefits that their members enjoy are being able to share and show off their cars to the Mustang world through the newsletter; receive a free window decal to proudly show that their Mustang is a member of M6A; and the opportunity to purchase custom made 3-inch embroidered emblems of the M6A logo to put on jackets, hats, or anything else. You can also buy exclusive M6A merchandise from the online store. 2015 also marks the first year the club will have its very first national car show. The show, done in cooperation with the Oklahoma Mustang Club (OMC), is going to be held on Sept. 12th 2015, in no other place than Mustang, Oklahoma. The OMC has planned a “sightseeing day” for Friday the 11th for all those who are coming to the car show, and a Hospitality Banquet that evening. The city of Mustang will be also be holding their annual Western Days on the day of the car show, which will include a parade and many other activities.

For information about M6A, the car show, or to join, visit the website at mustang6association.org, and also like their Facebook page Mustang6Association.
