JMS Chip & Performance Launches 2014 Performance Parts Catalog
Stuffed full of performance products to help your late-model Mustang on the street or the track, JMS Chip & Performance’s new catalog has what your Mustang needs. Featuring more than 20 new product additions, including four all-new product lines, there’s something available for every budget and Mustang trim level.
JMS Chip & Performance’s product lines focus on domestic vehicle performance products in the fuel and spark management segments. Products such as their PowerMAX, which can control voltage, amperage, and other features for such items as fuel pumps, cooling fans, OE intercooler pumps (such as the Shelby GT 500), and more.
The biggest news from the new 2014 catalog is the release of BoostMAX for Ford EcoBoost-powered cars and trucks. This innovative stand-alone boost enhancement device for Ford’s line of turbocharged inline-four and V-6 models is designed to work with both 87- and 91-octane. It adds big “warranty-friendly horsepower” and is completely plug-and-play. OBD-II reprogramming is not required for use, and it is designed to be stackable with an OBD-II tuner and custom-tune files for additional performance improvements (though not required)—2015 Mustang owners with EcoBoost need to look into the BoostMAX for sure!
Additionally, the 2014 catalog features JMS Chip & Performance’s proven PedalMAX, which modifies the sluggish throttle response of drive-by-wire applications (’05-and-up Mustang) for substantial improvements in throttle feel, giving you a more crisp throttle response, including reduced turbo-lag in EcoBoost and diesel applications (can you say a more fun tow rig?). Other additions to the new catalog include replacement fuel pumps, supercharger pulleys, Mustang GT and Shelby GT 500 performance packages, and more.
The JMS 2014 Performance Parts catalog can be downloaded at www.jmschip.com/content/JMS_2014_Catalog_Web.pdf, or you can call JMS direct at (601) 766-9424 to have the new catalog shipped out to you in traditional print format.

New Shelby Museum Plans Announced at Carroll Hall Shelby Trust Founder’s Reception
This past May, at the Carroll Hall Shelby Trust founder’s reception in Gardena, California, plans were unveiled for a new Carroll Shelby Automotive Museum. The museum, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was created to provide education to the public about the high-performance automotive industry and was formed by the trust around Shelby’s private collection to celebrate his legacy in the performance automotive aftermarket, as well as to inspire future generations.
“Wilt Chamberlain changed basketball, Steve Jobs revolutionized personal electronics, and Carroll Shelby changed the automotive landscape forever,” Neil Cummings, co-trustee for the Carroll Hall Shelby Trust and director of the Shelby Automotive Museum, said. “While Carroll was one of modern America’s most iconic figures, he wanted this museum to do far more than commemorate his amazing life. When we first discussed this idea, it was Carroll’s vision to build a place that would honor the grit, ingenuity, and tenacity of everyone who was part of the Shelby story. He believed it should stimulate the minds of the young, inspire other visionaries, and give strength to the underdog.”
The new Shelby museum will be located next to the Carroll Shelby engine factory and offices where Shelby lived, worked, and created his magic for over 40 years. It will include a portion of Shelby’s car collection, a multi-media area to display videos and other media, plus an auction area. The centerpiece will be “Shelby’s Snake Pit,” an area exclusively for sponsors of the museum to share stories in an atmosphere of valuable archival documents and trophies commemorating Shelby’s many racing victories and achievements.
The trustees methodically studied many revered museums to develop their plans. From the Guggenheim to the Harley-Davidson Museum, they adapted the best attributes to the Southern California facility plans. Located at 19021 South Figueroa Street in Gardena, the museum area will be approximately 40,000 square feet while the “Shelby’s Snake Pit” VIP lounge will be around 5,000 square feet. An approximately 15-foot-high sculpture of a Cobra will be the centerpiece of the area with a winding “road” traversing the facility. The project is being managed by Tellus Global Inc., of Los Angeles.
The building and core collection are already secured. The charity only needs to raise $5 million to finish out the museum. A limited number of positions are available on the “Founders Wall” for a donation to the charity. Construction is expected to begin later this year with a formal opening planned in early 2015. Additional information about the new Shelby Automotive Museum is available at www.shelbymuseum.com.
