Brenspeed's Prototype Saleen Up For Auction

There are historic vehicles, and there are fast vehicles, but Brenspeed's Prototype Saleen Serial # DR1 is both. With over 650 hp installed with a factory development "Series 7" twin-screw supercharger, this is one special car that is going up for auction on August 30, 2014, at the Worldwide Auctioneers in Auburn, Indiana.

Built in 2011 by Brenspeed on behalf of Saleen, this sledgehammer was paraded around the United States and put on display for every car guy to drool over, and when it wasn't on display, it was being campaigned in the NMRA race series.

It has all of the distinguished body upgrades, including the hood option, and inside you'll find Saleen S7 carbon-fiber seats wrapped in embossed black leather. Over the period of 2011, this car covered a mere 4,500 miles and has since been on display in the main foyer of Brenspeed's Indiana headquarters.

Brenspeed is going to donate the proceeds to the "Next Gen Education Program," which is a workshop that helps junior high and high school children as well as "At Risk Youth" by using the automotive industry as a benchmark and platform for tomorrow's education.

Company owner Brent White explains, "Education is important, and as a kid growing up sometimes the path is unclear, you may not know what you want to do, for me it was always about cars. So as a teenager I found myself learning more and more from publications, but the options were limited. With this program it will expand learning through the automotive industry showing business practices, how to deal with people, and general common sense, it gives the basics and shows how businesses operate—but all through the automotive spectrum, which is great, because everyone knows someone with a car, right? And if cars are not every kid's bag, then they can implement what they have learned into any other job role they choose, everyone benefits."

Brenspeed headquarters is located in Pierceton, Indiana, and has undertaken the engineering upgrades of Saleen Mustangs for many years; its reputation has gone from strength to strength in the marketplace and are producing more and more high-end conversions for Mustang owners for either the modest GT applications right through to the Shelby and even F-150s. As a tuning company it has identified many significant requirements from customers and produces high-quality and reliable upgrades. So, where do you stay in Indiana whilst these works are being carried out on your pride and joy? How about the complimentary fully furnished "Guest House" that they comp you next to their custom-built facility; that's right, they really do think of the small things. And, if that's not enough and you don't fancy the drive to Indiana, you could always try its second outlet in Cedar Hill, Texas, just south of Dallas.

So, someone is going to be smiling this August 30 because they will be taking away a piece of history in the form of a very historic vehicle, yep, Serial #DR1 is selling with no reserve for an awesome cause—so contact Worldwide today and get your bidder's number, at the same time helping a great cause!
