Hotchkis Autocross Series

Hotchkis Sport Suspension understands that most people consider muscle cars as straight line racers and that they lack the chops to handle the corners like a true sports car. The engineers at Hotchkis know better and are out to prove it by partnering with the National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) to host an autocross event series at the NMCA West Drag Racing Series. This three event series will provide for a fun and affordable weekend of events that combines an unlimited autocross event, ride alongs in Hotchkis demo vehicles, and admission to the NMCA drag race as well.

The events will be held at all three NMCA West events at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA (March 29-30, June 21-22, and October 25-26). Entry fees are $50 for a single day (Saturday or Sunday) or $75 for the entire weekend. The Hotchkis Autocross is open to any vehicle that passes a simple safety inspection that checks for leaking fluids or loose parts that can become a hazard on the track. No additional safety equipment beyond the factory seat belts is required because only one car will be on the course at any time. Registration for these events is now open online at and will also be available the day of the event. For more information visit or follow Hotchkis on Facebook @hotchkis1.

Carlisle Ford Nationals Celebrates Three Anniversaries

The Carlisle Ford Nationals is one of the “must-do” east coast events and this year’s show has grand plans to be the biggest yet. This year Carlisle Events not only celebrates 50 years of Mustang with special displays, but will also be celebrating 110 years of Ford Motor Company as well as Carlisle Events’ own 40th Anniversary!

This year’s event will be held June 6-8 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, PA. Expecting over 3,000 show cars and nearly 50,000 people in attendance, the Carlisle Ford Nationals will once again be holding Ford test drives, autocrosses, onsite installations of performance and restyling products, a downtown parade, and more. Of course we can’t forget the acres and acres of swap meet vendors where we always seem to score that hard to find part for one of our projects!

Part of this year’s celebration will be a 110 vehicle display showcasing a Ford model from each year, plus a 50 years Mustang display showcasing a Mustang from each production year as well. Special displays abound on the Carlisle property, including a Special Edition display where many regional and one-off Mustang models can be seen. Another great draw will be the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Ford F-150, both new and to date, not available for purchase. Confirmed for the event is at least one pre-production model of each. Ford engineers will be on hand to host walk-around demos throughout the event weekend. Visit for details and registration information, or call (717) 243-7855.
