With the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration just weeks away, Mustang-360.com acquired spy photos that appear to be the greatly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition.

Sources say the special-edition Mustangs will all be 5.0 GT models, sprayed in a hue that’s close to the first generation Wimbledon White color. From these photos you can see Ford has added features like the corralled Pony, FR500-like fork-spoke wheels with Pirelli tires, and taped-off quarter windows. Our guess: Ford is hiding a louvered quarter-window treatment. Brembo brake calipers and Pirelli tires are also visible on this prototype.

As you know, these styling cues can be found on the original Mustang, which was launched at the New York World’s Fair on April 17, 1964. And with that, we speculate that Ford will announce the 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition in two weeks at the New York International Auto Show. Enthusiasts can see the 2015 Ford Mustang at the upcoming show in NYC, as well as a special 2015 Mustang convertible that will be on display atop the Empire State Building, which recreates what Ford did in 1966.

We speculate power will come from the reworked 5.0 Coyote that is estimated to produce between 430-440 hp. The 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition will also receive special badging in and out.
