For those super paranoids who think they’re going to bend a piece of 1/8-inch angle iron, you can add a couple of gussets in from each end to add strength to the bracket. Don’t weld them to the ends, just in case you need to trim the brackets shorter to avoid springs or other obstacles. View Related Article
