Cragar Spokes
A classic wheel that helped launch the aftermarket-wheel industry is still going strong at Cragar [(480) 596-5483, www.cragar.com]. The Series 61 Cragar SS is a composite wheel with a chrome finish. A composite wheel is a mix of an aluminum center and a steel rim. The combination offers a great value and timeless styling. The SS wheel starts with a 13x5.5 size and goes up to 17x9. We found the 17x9 Cragar SS wheel for $249.69.

The Halibrand Sprint is available in sizes ranging from 14x6 to 16x11 in a wide variety of backspacing. A set of four 15x8 Sprint wheels costs $1,854.

A great way to make your new wheels fit your project theme is to paint part of the wheel the body color. Some people paint the actual wheel spokes, while others add paint to the lettering in the center cap or even paint the lug nuts. Go wild and personalize it.
