M5lp 1303 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Upper Control Arm Mountbody Bolt
25 of 36
The 21mm factory upper-control-arm-mount body bolts are installed with lots of Loctite, so they are difficult to remove. Add these two bolts first, then add the bolt under the rear seat. Don’t tighten them until the arm is bolted in place. You don’t have to loosen the gas tank straps to remove the original, or add the new piece with the driveshaft out and exhaust loose. We left the arm off to take a shot of the installed piece, however, you must have the arm bolted into the bracket before adding it to the car or you won’t be able to get the supplied bolt in. Finally, torque the body bolts to 125 lb-ft and the upper bolt to 140 lb-ft after the arm is installed and mounting bolts are snug. Do not tighten them yet.
