A selection of bushings/spacers (the gold pieces in the photo) are supplied with the rack-and-pinion kit to get bumpsteer to zero degrees. Depending on the car’s ride height, control arms, spindle height, and other factors, these bushings can raise or lower the outward end of the tie rod so that it’s parallel with the lower control arm for minimum to zero bumpsteer. There are also aftermarket gauges that can be used to dial in bumpsteer if you want to do it yourself, or a competent alignment shop that knows muscle cars and/or aftermarket suspension parts can also get it perfect.
