Cartoons was a magazine that touted “Automotive Humor For The Enthusiast,” and it had a rabid following back in the day, much as traditional comics like Batman and Spiderman have always enjoyed. As we the TEN photo and magazine archives were moving to the Petersen Automotive Museum recently, archivist Thomas Voehringer found this special Mustang-themed issue of Cartoons from February 1989, and it is such a blast from the past that we thought Mustang Monthly readers might enjoy seeing it.

A few months ago we published just the cover of the magazine, but we have since scanned the entire issue and are presenting it here, from the front to the back covers, due to an incredible response to the cover from readers that wanted to see the whole issue. Hopefully, you can expand the images large enough to read all the words and check out the hand-illustrated Mustang glory from artists like George Trosley, Shawn Kerri, Steve Austin, and more.
