Marc Violette's history with Mustangs goes way back to the 1970s. He grew up in a Ford family, so it was only right for him to go on to own several Mustangs. He started out with a 1989 Mustang GT, but a career and family took precedent, which put his Mustang hobby on hold for a few years. In May 2011, he purchased this 2006 Mustang GT, and had DaSilva Racing add a Hurst shifter, Ford Performance 3.73 gears, a MagnaFlow exhaust, an Axle Exchange aluminum driveshaft, Brembo brakes with Baer slotted rotors, and a custom SCT 91-octane tune by Matt Dasilva. Further mods include a JLT Performance cold air intake, a Ford Performance intake manifold and twin 62mm throttle-body, Comp Stage 3 cams, Livernois Motorsports CNC-ported heads, a Moroso oil pan, ARP head studs, a Melling Performance oil pump, BBK Performance long-tube headers with a high-flow catted X-pipe, Motive Gear 3.90 gears, and a variety of suspension upgrades from Ford Performance, Steeda Autosports, Maximum Motorsports, and the like. With all the performance upgrades, the little Three-Valve produces 387 hp at the rear wheels.
