It’s no secret, that at the Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals (MCACN) you will see rare vintage sheet metal around every corner. This Metuchen-built Mustang made us stop and take another look. Car representative Edward Meyer gave us the rundown on just how rare this Black Jade 1969 Super Cobra Jet Drag Pack convertible Mustang really is.

This fully loaded, New Jersey-built car still has all of the original tags and paperwork from its original sale. And, Meyer points out, all the original badging on this Mustang that was built in the spring of 1969, so it’s sporting its original GT-badged wheels with their one of a kind center caps. Running the date codes reveals its New Jersey heritage and the fact that it came from the factory with the deluxe interior.
