This Mustang is no field car—it’s Shawn Field’s 2001 GT. The GT does its best work on the track thanks to a single turbocharged Two-Valve. Prior to the car’s new combination, the stock Two-Valve with an On3 67mm single turbo ran 10.90s. These days the car has a MMR-built stroker Two-Valve, a larger On3 76/75 single turbo, Siemens-Deka 80-lb/hr injectors, Walbro twin 450 fuel pumps, a 4R70W transmission with a PTC converter, and 3.27 gears. Hoping to greatly improve on the previous performance, the GT also boasts upper and lower control arms, Race Star big ’n’ littles, Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Pros, and Strange Engineering 10-way adjustable shocks and struts. There’s also a Maximum Motorsports six-point rollcage.
