Kimberly Deutsch is the bus driver we always dreamed of having as a kid. She’d park her big yellow Blue Bird at the end of the school day and hop into a hot Roush Mustang and do long smoky burnouts out of the parking lot, to the whoops and hollering of all the school kids.

Kimberly and her husband bought the 2006 GT Premium Roush two years ago in stock configuration, but quickly tasked Brenspeed to do the build. She didn’t tell us a lot about what they did to the Mustang, but she did say that she’s a hardcore drag racer now. “With few years of drag racing experience,” she said, “I have found my home behind the wheel of a dragster. Not coming from a racing background, I headed into uncharted territory and never looked back. Drag racing is the equalizer—on any given day, I have the same chance as anyone to win, it just has to be my day!"

Kimberly continued, “I take it to the drag strip regularly and have become something of a role model for some of the local high school students. I am a school bus driver by day and drag racer by night. I like to bring the car over to the local school auto shop programs and talk to the kids about not street racing and track safety.”
