This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 caught the eye of Ken Nagel at the 2017 Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals in Chicago, Illinois, so once the car show wrapped up, Nagel made it his mission to track down the car’s owner and discuss a sale.

“Sure enough he wanted to sell it and within in ten minutes of talking we committed to the car. It was short and sweet,” Ken said.

Nagel tell us this Mustang was judged to be a Thoroughbred award winner, meaning that it has all of the correct NOS parts required of that level of restoration. It’s not just original car parts that came with this Mustang—it also came with quite the nickname. “The BossMan sign came with the car and that was a nickname it got way back when,” Nagel said, continuing, “Originally this car was sold out of one of the premiere Ford Dealerships in the country, Tasca Ford in East Providence, Rhode Island.”

“It’s a neat car to have since there are so few of them. There aren’t that many that are left and highly visible,” Ken Nagel said
