Barrett-Jackson always to brings the baddest cars on an auction block wherever they go, and once again that point was proven at this years Muscle Cars And Corvette Nationals in Chicago, Illinois. Barrett-Jackson CEO Craig Jackson unveiled the historic Shelby Prototype, the Green Hornet, at the 2018 show.

“The Green Hornet is just one of those mythical cars and as we learned during more research, we realized the car didn’t have the proper rearend in it. Through modern technology and the internet finding all these different people we have restored the car back to the way it was. The Conelec fuel injection is now running again 50 years later done by the son of the man who did it,” Jackson said.

Set-up right next to the Green Hornet in the Barrett-Jackson MCACN Display was another famous Shelby Prototype, Little Red. “Little Red was the greatest prototype of Shelby American and this was Carroll’s car. When Shelby American ended and Shelby Automotive started, the Green Hornet was the greatest car that Shelby Automotive built,” Jackson said. “This is the first time that I know they have been together since 50 years ago,” Jackson said.
