It's Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we would like to introduce Erica Bradley and her Furious Fuchsia 2000 GT.

Erica grew up in South Carolina around a different kind of horsepower. "I fell in love with horses, therefore I had told my dad that one day I would own a Mustang. Well, that faded and I didn't think much about getting a vehicle until I started dating a Mustang enthusiast. That's where the "Mustang addiction" started." And it only grew from there. Erica was in love and the more she learned, the more she craved getting a Mustang of her own. "I looked at many different body styles and fell head over heals for the New Edge. I set my sights on a Silver 2000 GT that was completely stock and had a small skip in the engine."

And with that Erica became a Mustang owner just as she predicted years before. "It was the first Mustang I had ever driven and knew I had to make it mine. The learning process began and I started working under the hood. I was taught how to change the oil, timing chain tensioners, and alternator, and how to replace the spark plugs within the first couple of months. Slowly, I picked my favorite parts of the New Edge Mustangs and put it together to make it my own. I chose the Mach 1 shaker hood with the 1999-2001 Cobra front bumper, and painted it Furious Fuchsia. I then placed ’99 Cobra seats in the car, a double den Apple radio, and hardwood flooring in the trunk. We even replaced the motor with a 12:11 compression motor with an aluminum block. The car is still a work in progress. I have lots of plans for it, including placing a cammed two-valve motor with an Eaton supercharger."

Erica's plans don't end there. She continued, "I only have the 2000 Mustang GT but I don't plan on stopping there. I enjoy everything about the Mustang. From Mustang Week to the 3:00am car washes for a show. It's all worth it. Why do I love the Mustang? That's hard to answer—there's so many reasons: the freedom that comes from just driving the car; the feel of the horses beneath you; the speed; the way that you can customize it just the way you like it; the way the car itself brings so many people together. It's something magical."

Each week Team Mustang Girls features a different female Mustang owner. Submit your story at
