It's Monday morning, that means it’s time for Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we would like to introduce Nancy Perez and her 1965 Mustang.

Nancy has been around classic cars all her life. Her father used to buy, restore, and sell cars so there was always a project in their garage, and the family has been attending car shows for years. "I really enjoy our Sunday barbecues at the Pomona Swap Meet and Classic Car Show. We wake up early and arrive at the event around 5:00 am to find a spot and check out the cars that are for sale. I prefer the smell of classic cars instead of bacon any day."

The first car Nancy ever drove was a Mustang and she knew right away she would have her own someday. "I saved up enough money to buy my own pony and started searching for the perfect ride. In May of 2012, I saw the most beautiful Arcadian Blue 1965 Mustang coupe with pony interior and a 289 V8 engine. It was love at first sight and I took it home that same day. It felt great to join the club and own a muscle car along with my dad, cousins, and uncles." Nancy named her Mustang "Anakin;" at the time she also had a black Mercedes that was named "Vader." "It makes me proud to see my Anakin parked alongside my father's Challenger, Mustang Mach 1, Charger, and Camaro. I hope to one day pass my Mustang along to my future child along with the love for muscle cars that runs in our family."

Each week Team Mustang Girls features a different woman and her Mustang. Check out the past featured ladies from Mustang Girl Monday and submit your own Mustang story at
