Ford Thunderbird

The Ford Thunderbird has gone through nearly a dozen generations (and even more styling changes) since its debute in 1954. The car was an instant success with 3,500 orders placed in the first week and a half even though the company had only projected making 10,000 cars the first year. Though the line was discontinued by Ford in 1997, it emerged in 2002 with the “Retro Bird” generation that lasted until 2005 when the line was again retired. Though Ford will likely revive the Thunderbird again, no date has been set.
