The 312ci Y-block was Ford's first overhead-valve V-8. It was a tasteful execution that worked well for more than a decade. As presented here, the 312 made 225 hp with Holley carburetion. Two optional engines were available--an 8V "E-code" 312 and the rare supercharged 312 with 300 hp on tap. Rosemary's mental energy makes the supercharger unnecessary. View Related Article
