OK, we admit it. We lampooned the performance of the '68 GT350 in our story as a way of explaining the motivation behind Jerry Logan's wildly modified example seen here. Now, for any fan of the same model who's tempted to blast off a letter of indignation, let it be known that we'd be thrilled to own one of these beautiful cars ourselves, stock or otherwise. In other words, hold your fire!

The underhood view is little short of spectacular, and we particularly dig the custom radiator cover and hood lock-looking rad cap. Eckert's Rod and Custom built the cool engine compartment bracing (and virtually everything else), but the bottom line of the whole affair is the Paxton blown 347. Power is estimated to be near 600 horses.

Most of the fantastic interior work was done by Griffin Interiors in Bend, Oregon, including rebuilding the stock seats with better bolstering than the factory provided. Leather is found in abundance, including snakeskin-embossed hides around the gauge panels.
