1965 Mustang Convertible Front
This car is an interesting combination of street and racing influence. The black-and-red color combination is nice and one we don't see often. The absence of rocker molding and the presence of a stripe makes the car look like a GT at first glance.

1965 Mustang Convertible Engine
Underhood, things are squared away completely. The potent Coast High Performance 347 with all of the aluminum goodies added on makes a package long on torque and short on weight. The free-breathing air-cleaner filters at both sides and top make for little inlet resistance. The chrome tower brace, Monte Carlo bar, and Ford Racing rocker covers round out this good-looking picture. Remember, the bigger the displacement, the more radiator you'll need, and Casey has a heavy-duty aluminum unit already installed.

The first thing you notice besides the nice rake is the extra-beefy, custom-padded rollbar-no skimping on the tubing diameter here. Casey didn't mention anything about road racing, but with the addition of a three-point harness for driver and passenger, he's ready to go.

1965 Mustang Convertible Steering Wheel
We don't know anyone who doesn't like this type of aftermarket steering wheel. It's similar to the steering wheel furnished on Shelby Mustangs and Cobras. The big tach with a shift light up front on the steering column means there's no guessing about when it's time to shift. The lack of a radio tells us that Casey thinks the sound of the 347 is music enough.

1965 Mustang Convertible Headlight
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are always a good choice for classic Mustangs, and they complement the first body style especially well. Painting the spokes Vermillion Red to match the stripes is a nice decorative touch that visually ties the car together.
