1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Front
Brett has the stance of the car just right. There's not much to indicate that this is a 10-second terror. The rear tires tuck up neatly into the wheelhouse, and the traction bars are barely visible. There's nothing sticking out of the hood either, so this looks just like a typical restomod.

The heart of the matter is this 427 Windsor based on a Dart Iron Eagle block. The engine is so strong, Brett has nothing to worry about when winding the mill to a 6,400-rpm shift point. The turbocharger installation is nicely done and tuned to perfection. Brett would like to thank both Jeff and Graham at FastTimes Motorworks.

1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Burnout
This rear view shows the traction bar setup a little more clearly than the front, but otherwise there is still no visual clue to how fast this Mustang really is. It's amazing that Brett gets this car to hook for consistent 10-second passes with nothing more than a 10-inch drag radial rear tire.

1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Trunk
Open the trunk lid and the first thing you see are dual Optima batteries. Besides providing extra amperage for startup, having the two batteries adds a little extra weight over the rear wheels. Also employed for safety's sake is a 20-gallon fuel cell from Summit Racing.
