Once the car is "deconstructed," as it's referred to on the show, the body is sent out for media blasting. It then comes back for any metal repairs or body modifications that Chip has put into the drawing. Hector's SportsRoof was tweaked in an accident before he purchased it, requiring the crew to swap out the complete front subframe structure. The SportsRoof also gets new floorpans and other typical metal, courtesy of YearOne.
