Classic Performance Package
- Brooks Performance also works on classic Mustangs. Its '65 Mustang 2+2, otherwise known as Project Quicksilver, is a perfect example of the company's craft. Vehicle modifications are extensive but always functional and in good taste. The body look includes components such as an Eleanor-style hood, a GT350 front valance panel, Shelby sidescoops, and a racing-style flip-open fuel door. Budnik wheels and four-wheel disc brakes complete the competition look. Underhood, the Quicksilver Mustang has a 347 short-deck screamer that makes 450 hp and is connected to a G-Force T-5 transmission. Out back, you'll find a 9-inch axle with 3.73 gears. There is a lot of attention paid to the suspension. The following are examples of just a few things Brooks includes: a 1-inch upper control arm drop, Koni shocks, Hotchkiss suspension components, and welded subframe connectors. Interior appointments include air conditioning, Auto Meter instrumentation, and Corbeau GTS-II seats.
