To promote the new Falcon Sprint as a performance model, Ford had Holman Moody prepare three '63 1/2 Sprints for the rigorous 1963 Monte Carlo Rally. Modified with beefier 260s, four-speeds, front disc brakes, and much more, Falcons did score a class victory and swept the prestigious six "special stages" of the race, though finished a best of 35th overall.
