I had the same car, except it was Black with a Rangoon red interior.  My grandmother gave it to me in 1969 because she was "Too old to shift." My mom borrowed it one day and some guy smashed into the front end, and the body shop put a plain jane nose on it. The generator was never right and I was always push starting it. The reverse lock out cable snapped and I had Motion Performance (yes, THAT Motion Performance!) put in a Hurst shifter for $100. It had a factory installed police spotlight with a rear view mirror on it, installed through the driver side roof pillar. I ran it at the drags and got creamed by a '68 Firebird with a 326 2 bbl. 1/4 mile in 9.5 sec. @ 85 MPH. I was not a good race driver! I did all kinds of stupid mods to it,(lift kit, thrush mufflers, etc.  raced the crap out of it and sold it for $100 in 1972.  Ah, the stupidity of youth! If I was rich today I would find a '64 model since that one had an alternator.
