Bennett Racing and Fox Lake Power Products combined forces on the engine in Don’s coupe. It’s a 339ci using a vintage Ford Racing Performance Parts A4 block, a Scat billet crank, Eagle connecting rods, and Ross pistons. Don bought the engine secondhand, but had it checked out before dropping it in the car. The engine uses a Fox Lake solid-roller cam; Fox Lake-ported Trick Flow R-series heads with Harland Sharp shaft-mount rockers; and a Hogan sheetmetal intake. The turbo is a Precision T4 with custom tubing fabricated by Rockstar Performance in New Port Richey, Florida. Boost off the line is handled by an AMS500 boost controller, while the air charge is cooled by an air-to-air intercooler.
