Likewise, the suspension is sublime in its well-balanced responses, while still shrugging off the worst that Detroit's beleaguered pavement has to offer. We mentioned that Primo now heads a company called Performance Solutions, and one of its first products can be found in this car's spring/damper combination. The coil rates are specifically calculated to account for the added nose weight of an intercooled supercharger on an aluminum Three-Valve engine (notice how Primo's GT sits level, not nose-low), and the Tokico damper housings now contain proprietary, patent-pending Performance Solutions valving. We came away suitably impressed with both handling and ride quality, the latter being particularly commendable considering that the car runs on 20-inch rolling stock.

The main thrust of Performance Solutions' business appears to be making Ford dealers comfortable with the idea of offering quality aftermarket-enhanced GTs right from their showrooms-with warranty, to boot. It's no wonder, then, that Primo's rolling business card combines all the adrenaline of aftermarket performance with the sophistication and overall good manners of a factory-built Mustang. Why can't my business card be that effective? And fun.

The Cobra theme continues inside with a GT500 wheel (with custom Cobra airbag) and seats. A CDC dash pod houses a trio of FRPP 2 1/2-inch gauges. The console has been painted black to match the top surfaces of the body, and a Ford GT starter button gets things fired up. The shifter is an FRPP GT500 unit.

The GT500 hood is now held up by CDC struts and covers an FRPP/Whipple-blown near-stock Three-Valve with Comp Cams Stage 2 XFI bumpsticks. We don't think the combo's even been dyno'd yet, but we can tell you it delivers plenty of thrust and perfect driveability. It doesn't look too bad, either.
