To make sure East Hickman's GT could beat all comers, BES Racing was called upon to screw together a 434ci Windsor using a Dart block, an Eagle crankshaft and rods, and Ross pistons. A Comp Cams grind mandates valve events in a pair of BES-ported Edelbrock Victor heads. BES also massaged an Edelbrock Super Victor intake, and Induction Solutions tuned the runners for optimal nitrous/fuel atomization. A Pro-Systems 4150 series carburetor provides air and fuel to the combination. Induction Solutions and Edelbrock were teamed up again on the GT's nitrous system. The nitrous kit is an Edelbrock system, but Induction Solutions' Steve Johnson tuned the combination, which enables the car to run 8.60s at over 153 mph.
