Jamey loves the stock interior. He says the Special Vehicle Team worked with Ford's color and trim director to develop the paint and leather. Using a process pioneered by Garden State Tanning of Southfield, Michigan, Mystichrome was applied to the leather inserts of the front and back seats, along with the steering wheel. That's a wild process. "The interior is pretty much stock because I really don't feel the need to upgrade on it, as sick as it is. I just added some extra gauges in the interior for boost, and the wide band air/fuel gauge. When someone walks by the car and raves about the paint, I open the door and show them the interior to really blow their minds."

Finally, at 22 psi, with the spark blowing out, Jamey saw the dyno hit 954 hp at 6,800 rpm and 742 lb-ft of torque at 6,400 rpm. Unfortunately, the dyno tech had to cut the session short, leaving no extra time to pull the Autolite 103 plugs and close the gap from 0.030 to 0.020 inch and achieve the 1,000 hp goal. Jamey blames the spark issue and pig-rich air/fuel ratio for barely missing his 1,000hp target. He views hitting this figure as merely a formality as he tinkers with the street tune.
