Each Shelby GT is badged with a numbered dash plaque. Although Shelby doesn't rebadge the car after it comes out of the Mod Shop with the supercharger installed, the company documents every SC. Records of the Mod Shop upgrades are kept using the car's build number, thus keeping track of the Shelby history made in the shop and the regular production line. One side benefit of Mod Shop post-title work is that the selling Ford dealer is out of the picture and can't mark up the price for a GT/SC.
