When we talked to Jeff Miller about a few specifics on his Battle at the Beach entry, he was helping a friend race at the YellowBullet.com Nationals at Cecil County Dragway, one of this author’s favorite tracks. That tells you Jeff is hardcore, like all of us. Something else that tells us he’s hardcore is his 1989 Mustang LX coupe. Jeff’s coupe screams “old school,” and we love it.

Jeff’s coupe relies on 363-inches of Ford stroker magic. The big-cube Windsor utilizes Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, a custom Brian “Freezy” Friedentag camshaft, a Holley SysteMAX intake, long-tube headers, and a Vortech YSi-Trim supercharger. That combination should be good for the 700-horsepower range, maybe more.

In a competition dominated my modular powerplants, all Fox fans need to be at North Myrtle Beach Drag Strip by 9AM to support Jeff and his efforts. We’ll see you there.

We love old school power combinations, and Jeff’s 363-inch small block and Vortech YSi-Trim supercharger is going to sound righteous on Pro Dyno’s portable dyno as part of the Battle at the Beach. We can’t wait to see what Jeff’s coupe puts down.
