Our buddy and Mustang Monthly columnist Dave Stribling introduced us to Keith Williams of Fishers, IN on the 2017 Power Tour’s final stop in Bowling Green, KY, and he showed us his 1967 C-code Mustang coupe.

Keith bought the car in 2013 and re-restored it, keeping the stock 289 and 3-speed, but it was when he showed us his unique method of preventing rock chips on the quarter panels that we broke out the video camera. As you can see in the video, a few beers at night inspired Keith to try out a coat of Duplicolor’s Gloss Clear paint on the area right behind the rear tires to try and prevent rock chips. This stuff sprays on easy and peels off like an old piece of sunburnt skin, and is nearly invisible.

Neat idea!
