It's Monday, but we have something to brighten up the start of a new week: Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we would like you to meet Kendra Nickles and her stable full of ponies.

Kendra has been around Mustangs literally her entire life—she was brought home from the hospital as a newborn in a 1982 notchback. Since then her passion has only grown, as she has owned every generation of Mustang other that the new 2015-2017. But don't worry, she plans to add that to her list. The current line up includes a 1965 fastback, 2007 Shelby GT500, and her current project, a 1968 GT fastback, J-code with a 4-speed.

Working in her family's hot rod shop, Kendra learned how to paint and do bodywork at a very young age. She tells us, "I restore and paint all of my classic Mustangs. My first car was a 1996 GT. I then purchased my first classic Mustang to restore at the age of 17. It was a '66 coupe with a 347 stroker that made it on the cover of Mustang Times magazine in 2007. It took me four years to build due to working part time and going to college full time."

Kendra’s philosophy about cars will keep you always wanting to peek in her garage because you never know what you will find. "I like to build a Mustang, enjoy it for a few years, then sell it to find a new project. I have restored several types of classics but Mustangs have always had a special place in my heart. I love Mustangs because of that feeling you get when you sit behind the wheel. It’s pure freedom. In my opinion, every Mustang is special whether it is a 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder, GT, or Shelby."

Not only can she build them, Kendra also enjoys open track days with her Shelby at Virginia International Raceway in Danville, VA and is a proud member of Mustang Club of America and First Tennessee Regional Mustang Club.

Each week Team Mustang Girls features a female Mustang owner. If you would like to be the subject of one, submit your story at http://teammustanggirls.com/submit-your-mustang-story/.
