Mike and Kelly Martel of Hot Springs, Arkansas, purchased their Highland Green 2008 Bullitt Mustang new from Fred Beans Ford in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The car is number 5,439 out of 6,599 built in 2008 and 2009 and is no stranger to the dragstrip, road course, or autocross at the War Memorial in Little Rock. Since Ford did such a great job with the exhaust, the Martels left that stock along with the wheels and body. The only thing changed on the suspension was the addition of rear control arms. Other additions include Auto Meter gauges, an Axle Exchange 4-inch aluminum driveshaft, BMR control arms, Ford Performance 62mm throttle-body and cam covers, a Hurst Billet Competition Plus shifter, a JLT oil separator, MSD coils, Roush gauge pods, a Steeda underdrive pulley set, and Mickey Thompson Street Comp 255/45/R18 rubber on the rear. After the modifications, this Bullitt made 305 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque on the chassis dyno.
