Texan Nick Gonzalez III has always wanted a 302 pushrod ever since he learned how to drive a car in a Fox-body LX. As soon as he returned home after serving in the Army, he found this five-speed 1995 Mustang GTS with just 38,000 miles and paid $6,000 for it. Performancewise, the car features a CAI, a 70mm throttle-body, an underdrive pulley kit, BBK shorty headers, a Summit Racing Equipment H-pipe with glass pack dump exhaust, Ford Racing 3.73 gears, 2-inch drop springs, and an SCT 4 bank chip. It was dyno-tuned with wide band by Houston Performance, where it put down 236 rwhp and 295 rear-wheel torque. The exterior features 17-inch black Cobra R wheels and a Mach 1 chin spoiler. Gonzalez is far from done. His plans include plenty of aftermarket performance goodies.
