Mike Isaacs, a 20-year subscriber, is the second owner of this 1990 LX convertible. He purchased it bone-stock about four years ago from an older guy who just liked to cruise the beach. With only 44,000 original miles, Isaacs has brought it a long way since its beach cruisin’ days. The car made a naturally aspirated 292 rwhp and 317 lb-ft of rear-wheel torque on the dyno. When mated to the Vortech supercharger it put down 421 rwhp and 416 lb-ft. Suspension components consist of Maximum Motorsports subframes, control arms, CC plates, Steeda Sport springs, Tokico HP Blue struts and shocks, Prothane poly spring isolators, and control arm and sway bar bushings. Stopping power is provided by Maximum Motorsports SS brake lines and SS caliper bushings, and Hawk pads and shoes. Cosmetically, Isaacs installed a Cervini’s ram-air hood and Cobra-style rear wing, along with a set of ROH chrome 17-inch Cobra R wheels with Nexxen 245/45/17 rubber.
