This 35th-Anniversary 1999 New Edge Mustang GT Went From Bone Stock to Breaking Necks
Ross Colyer • Missoula, Montana • 1999 GT
Montana man Ross Colyer bought his first Mustang, a bone stock 1999 GT in 35th Anniversary trim, back in November 2009. Since then the New Edge has accumulated 60,000 miles on the clock and a few upgrades. Modifications include BBK headers, an off-road X-pipe, an SLP Loudmouth cat-back, a BBK cold air intake, and a 70mm throttle-body. Those mods are tied together with an SCT XCal3 tune. Other performance modifications include a Spec Stage 3 clutch, a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, Ford Racing 3.73 gears, and H&R lowering springs. The interior features racing bucket seats. The exterior is set off with 18-inch black Saleen wheels, a 2000 Cobra R style hood, a Mach 1 front shin spoiler, and blacked-out lights all around.
