There's something to be said about Ford's line of paint colors for its fleet of automobiles, particularly the 2013 Mustang.

From School Bus Yellow, to Grabber Blue, to Race Red, and so on, one thing remains the same—each color screams "look at me!" For Nikki Frost of Philadelphia, it was no different.

"I've always been a Ford girl. My first car was an '85 Escort, followed by a '96 Taurus, a '95 SHO Taurus, and then a '13 F-150 EcoBoost," Nikki told us. "In June 2012, my daily driver fell apart, and I was in a position financially to buy a new car. I always wanted a Mustang, and I waited to purchase one until Ford reintroduced the 5.0L."

"A friend of mine was working at Bel Air Ford in Maryland and knew I was on the lookout for a new '13 Mustang—preferably in Gotta-Have-It Green," she explained. "They had one on the showroom floor and it was love at first sight."

After purchasing her new Steed later that June, the marketing director of Vortech Superchargers contacted Nikki about possibly using her ride as a research and design vehicle for Vortech's new V-3 Si supercharger, and using it for the display at the 2012 SEMA Show. "It was because of the color that I got a sponsorship," Nikki told us. With the details worked out, Nikki drove her new ride from Virginia to California to have Vortech work its magic on her green machine.

After the Vortech V-3 Si supercharger was installed, Nikki went on to installing an array of other bolt-on parts. Exhaust notes flow freely thanks to a Borla mid-pipe, down through a pair of Borla S-type mufflers. The factory suspension has been reworked, featuring front and rear KW Automotive Variant 3 coilovers, Whiteline adjustable sway bars, and a BMR adjustable Panhard bar and lower control arms. Six-piston Baer front brakes are used for stopping, and 20-inch Forgestar F14 brushed aluminum wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes tires add to the stellar looks. Roadwire is responsible for the custom leather and suede interior featuring GHIG stitching.

The SEMA show was a success and Nikki went on to displaying her ride in car shows throughout the Northeast. She's managed to win multiple awards, including Best American Muscle at SEMA, placing in the top three at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in 2013, Best in Class and Best of Show Interior at the NMRA Maryland International Raceway Ford Nationals, and an Award of Excellence at Mustang Week 2013.

Nikki not only shows off her ride, but she races it too. She's bested a 12.4 at 126 mph on 20-inch wheels. On 8.5 psi, her Stang cranked out 577 rwhp and 442 lb-ft of torque.

It goes without saying that Nikki has been busy and enjoying her beloved ride. "What I enjoy most about this car is the time and effort multiple people have put forth in order to make it what it is today," she said. "There's a lot of love in the car, and it makes you feel good that people care enough to help."

Nikki got engaged this past April to her fiancé Keith Fidura, who also owns a '13 Mustang GT, and they plan to get married the weekend before Mustang Week 2014. She told us that Mustang Week will be their honeymoon.
