The current 9:1 compression, 342ci engine was already in the car when Eric purchased the Cobra. The builder is unknown, but the engine features a Ford Racing R-302 standard bore block with a 3.4-inch-stroke crank, Eagle H-beam rods, and JE forged pistons. A Bennett Racing solid-roller cam actuates 2.08/1.60 valves within Bennett-ported Brodix Track 1 heads, which also boast Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers and K-motion valvesprings. Up top is an Edelbrock Victor Jr EFI intake with a Wilson Manifolds upper elbow with an Accufab 90mm throttle body. To stay within Ultimate Street guidelines, Eric chose a Borg Warner S480 single 80mm turbocharger with a Todd Berry-built intercooler to thrust 25 pounds of boost down the 342’s throat.
