Editor's Choice Award
Joe Hickman, Granville, OH
'57 Ford Custom Tudor
We chose Joe Hickman's '57 Ford for our Editor's Choice award, which is given away at Saturday's car show at each NMRA event. Joe's '57 Tudor features a slick, white-over-red, two-tone scheme applied by the craftsman at Abe's Body Shop in Granville, Ohio. Once the paint dried, Joe dropped in a Ford Racing Performance Parts 345hp 302 crate engine (one of the company's bestsellers) and topped it off with a full complement of EFI parts, including a now-hard-to-find GT-40 intake manifold. The FRPP crate engine, which also wears FRPP shorty headers, is mated to a stout Tremec five-speed, which hands off the power to a built 9-inch rear. Joe finished off the classic good looks of his '57 with a set of 15-inch chrome American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels.
